The Arkansas Razorbacks knocked out the March Madness Gonzaga Bulldogs in the Sweet 16, but they may have had some help from the referees to do so.

Gonzaga, seeded No. 1, entered the 2022 NCAA Tournament hoping to secure his first-ever national championship.

They will leave Thursday night disappointed once again thanks to a surprise number 4 of Arkansas.

College basketball fans are used to watching the Bulldogs retire earlier than expected, but this time around many felt the playing field wasn’t exactly level.

Did the referees smear the Bulldogs?

One of the game’s key moments involved Gonzaga’s star center Chet Holmgren fouling on a questionable call.

However, not everyone agreed that the referees fucked Gonzaga. Many people on Twitter pointed out areas where the Bulldogs struggled to match the Razorbacks.

Whether you think Gonzaga was roughed up or Arkansas imposed their will, the outcome is clear.

The Razorbacks head to the Elite Eight and the Bulldogs head home.

Arkansas head coach Eric Musselman has now taken his team to its second consecutive Elite Eight appearance. They will now head into the aftermath of the game between No. 2 Duke and No. 3 Texas Tech to learn their opponent.
