New company Global Titans is set to introduce NFT access to live sports broadcasts. The company will present premium boxing and MMA events in locations around the world with the first event featuring fighters such as Floyd Mayweather and Anderson Silva.
Global Titans battle events will take place every three months for at least the next two years. The first show will mean the first time an NFT ticket will be used to allow fans to watch a live stream online.
NFT tickets can also be used for other items that standard tickets cannot, with additional benefits and event assets the holder will own, including a contest to win a trip to the premier event in Dubai, a online access to the live event, a collectable 3D Crystal Ticket, Global Game Coins that can be used in 300 online games, a choice of 8 NFT battle ticket options, unlockable official battle videos, exclusive behind-the-scenes content and free access to the next Global Titans event.
The company will also launch the Global Titans universe in July 2022, which will include the GTF$ cryptocurrency, online multiplayer games, metaverse content, and real-world experiences. The goal is to create an ecosystem for the next generation of fight fans.
“We aim to build a bridge between existing and new fight fans, while simultaneously introducing new technology to an industry that has barely changed in decades.” Said Global Titans CEO Uday Singh.
He continued, “Like any new company with innovative technologies and solutions, further mainstream adoption is always a challenge. Being the first organization in the world to offer an NFT-enabled live sporting event is no easy task. There are multiple challenges in technology, operations, marketing, delivery and more.
“Understanding and awareness of NFTs continues to grow and is in its infancy, which means it’s extremely important to engage with early adopters and bring them into this exciting Web3 project.”
With some fight fans potentially not understanding the NFT market, Singh clarified that a simple process for people unfamiliar with Web3 would be paramount, but if that hurdle is overcome people will realize how juxtaposed their methodology could be. to the standardized ticket model.
Singh concluded, “The main goal is to give great value to the fans. This project now raises people’s expectations of what they will receive when purchasing a “ticket”. Instead of just an email with a barcode, fans will now receive so much more through Global Titans events. The event industry is about to undergo a major shift in technology and value-added services, and we are at the forefront of this.
“Furthermore, Global Titans aims to achieve a win-win for all parties involved. For example, the fighters who participate in the events have a great degree of freedom over the entire project. Unlike other boxing organizations and of MMA, Global Titans doesn’t lock fighters into tough contracts or restrictive sponsorship deals. This creates great membership and fighters have much higher earning potential across all revenue streams.
“The fighters and the fans are at the center of everything.”
The current focus around Web3 affecting entertainment is to expand the customer experience so that someone’s daily life can be more streamlined and easier to navigate through its adoption. Singh hopes the Global Titans fight series will be a historic first step on that journey.
The first event will be held on May 14, 2022 live and directly on the helipad of the Burj Al Arab Jumeirah hotel in Dubai.
